What is laser welding?
Laser welding joins metal with a focused beam of light that melts and fuses the parts. Compared with MIG or TIG, the heat is concentrated in a small area, which usually means narrower seams and a smaller heat-affected zone.
At OptiKutz we use fiber laser welding, often with CNC control. That lets us set weld depth, shape, and speed carefully, including on thinner material.

Laser welding works well for thin sheet, fine assemblies, and parts where a neat seam matters. The focused heat often means less warping than a wider arc weld, and many jobs need less finishing afterward.

Narrow laser seams can still be strong and reliable when the joint design and material are a good match. We match the process to the part, not the other way around.

Laser welding is a non-contact method, so there is no electrode contact wear on the part and fewer consumables than some arc processes.
